Deed lease date 8th day January in year or our Lord 1808 and made betweenJames Moffit of Cartronblagh [Cartronlebagh] in the County of Longford farmers of the one part and Charles McCord Sr. and Charles McCord Jr. both of Knockenbawn in County Longford aforesaid farmers of the other part. Whereby after reciting that the said James Moffit for and in xxxx the sum of £86 5 sh the said James Moffit did demise and set onto the said Charles McCord Jr. all that and those the town and lands of Cartrondagh (it looks slightly different than the above, or Cartronclagh, could be misspelling) aforesaid xxx lying and being in the Barony and County of Longford aforesaid in as full and ample manner as the same were lately held and enjoyed by the said James Moffit but which said lands are now in the actual possession of the said Charles McCord by virture of a bargain and sale to him thereof made for one whole year by deed bearing date the day just previous to the day of the xxx to hold said premises from the first day of November last past for and during the natural life of John Moffit the only surviving life of three lives named in the original lease of said lands.Made and executed by Robert Clements Kennedy late of Mullagh in Co. Settlement of an indented deed of a mariage settlement bearing date of 31st Aug 1808 and made between Rev Robert Moffett of Parkplace in the Co. Longford, Clerk of the 1st part, Andrew Moffett -City of Dublin, his only son of the 2nd part, Rev John Smith of Limcarory in the Count of Tapy ?? Clerk of the 3rd part, and Susan Smith Spinster of Lismacrory youngest daughter of John Smith and Jalno Smith the younger of Farmlodge in the County Down. Marriage to be solemnized between Andrew Moffett and Susan Smith. Robert Moffett in consideration and intent of said marriage did grant bargain, sell release and confim et to said John Smith and Aghmuty Richardson all that and those lands of Cordwin Cant. of by Survy and all the town and lands of Clonkeen cont. by Survey and also the town and lands of Corregeen Park Parkplace containing by survey 101 acres and also the town and lands of Liskett contd. by survby all and such 3rd lands and premises are situate in the Co. of Longford etc. etc.

To the Register appointed by Act of Parliament for registering deeds Leases Wills and so forth A Memorial of an indented deed of Conveyance bearing date the sixteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty six and made between Roderick Connor Esq one of the Masters of his Majestys High Court of Chancery of the first part, Peyton Johnston of Crumbawn (CRUMBAWN IS CLEARLY WRITTEN - AS DISTINCT FROM DRUMBAWN) in the County of Longford Esq, eldest son and heir at Law of Peyton Johnston Esquire Senior late of Ballymahon in the County of Longford deceased of the second part, Thomas Farrell of Drumbawn in said County of Longford farmer assignee of the estate and effects of the said Peyton Johnston the younger pursuant to an act passed for the relief of Insolvent Debtors in Ireland of the third part, Andrew Johnston of Ballymahon in the County of Longford, sole exor of Peyton Johnston Senior Esq deceased and a devisee of said Peyton Johnston deceased of the fourth part, James Langstaff of Longfield in the County of Westmeath, surviving trustees named in the last will and testament of the said Peyton Johnston, deceased of the fifth part, Peyton Johnston, the younger, eldest son of the said Andrew Johnston and joint tenant in law under the Limitations of the said Last will of said Peyton Johnston deceased of the sixth part, Edward George Parker and Susanna Parker orwise Moffett orwise Smith, his wife and which said Susanna is the surviving executrix of the last will and testament of Andrew Moffet deceased of the seventh part. Mary Moffet - Robert Moffet -Susan Moffet and John Moffet minors, the children of said Andrew Moffet and Susanna Moffet of the ninth part and Sir George Ralph Fetherston of Ardagh in the County of Longford Baronet of the tenth part in whereby after reciting amongst several other matters that pursuant to a final decreee of his Majesty's High Court of Chancery in Ireland bearing date on or about the third day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine and made and pronounced in a cause theretofore and then depending in the said Court wherein the said Samuel Moffet - Susanna Moffet and others were plaintiffs and the said Peyton Johnston and others in the said deed of which this is a Memorial named were defendants the said Roderick Connor did on the twelfth day of July one thousand eight hundred and thirty set up to be sold by Public cant ? the fee simple and inheritance of the town and Lands of Drumbawn subject to the article of the fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred ninety seven therein mentioned and that the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston was by the said Master declared the purchaser of the said Lands hereditament and premises at the sum of five thousand pounds and after further amongst other things reciting that the said sale was by a subsequent order made in the said cause absolutely confirmed it was witnessed that in pursuance and performance of the said Decree or Decret ?? order and in conson (consideration) of the two sums of one thousand two hundred and fifty pounds and three thousand and seven hundred and fifty pounds therein mentioned to have been paid into the Bank of Ireland by the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston to the credit of the said Cause with the privity of the Accountant General, by and with the consent and approbation of said Roderick Connor testified as therin and for the other considerations therein mentioned thly ? the said Roderick Connor, Peyton Johnston, Thomas Farrell, Andrew Johnston, James Langstaff, Peyton Johnston the younger, Edward George Parker and Susanna his wife, John Smith, Thomas Coulton, Jane Coulton, Robert Smith, Robert Robinson, Mary Moffett, Robert Moffet, Susan Moffet, and John Moffett according to their several and respective estates and interests therein did grant bargain sell a.... release and confirm unto the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston and his heirs and assigns all that and those the two undivided moietys or half part of the said Lands of Drumbawn owrise Drumbane the one moiety thereof in fee and the other moiety thereof subject to the said reserved yearly rent of twenty two pounds, late currency being twenty pounds six shillings and one penny three farthings of the present currency and subject to the said Lease made in pursuance of said article of the fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven all which said Lands of Drumbane contain of arable and pasture land one hundred and sixty eight acres three roods and eight late Irish plantation measure be the same more or less exclusive of Bog are situate lying and being in the said Barony of Ardagh and County of Longford or howsoever orwise the said messauge ? lands tenements and hereditaments or any of them then were or way or theretofore were or was situated called known described or distinguished together with all dwelling or other houses and buildings gardens, passages, bogs, mossess, drains, waters, and water courses, timber and other trees, woods, underwoods, and all other the appurtenances all which said Lands premises and hereditaments then were in the actual possession of or legally vested in the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston by virtue of the bargain and sale for a year and of the statute therein mentioned To hold one undivided moiety of the said Lands, tenements, heredits and premises with the appurtenances from the first day of November one thousand and eight hundred and thirty four unto and to the use and behoof ?of him the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston his heirs and assigns for ever and to hold the other undivided moiety thereof with the appurtenances from the first November one thousand eight hundred and thirty four unto and to the use and behoof ? of the said Sir George Ralph Fetherston his heirs and assigns for and during the life and lives therein being granted by the last renewal bearing date twenty eight April one thousand eight hundred and thirty five and for such life and lives as should for ever thereafter be added to the therein rated? demise bearing date the fourth February one thousand seven hundred and forty eight be virtue of the covenant of perpetual renewal therein contained subject to the therby reserved yearly rent of twenty two pounds late currency being twenty pounds six shillings and one penny three farthings present currency and subject to a certain case therein after mentioned made pursuant to said Recited article of fourth March, one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven which said Deed and this memorial as to the execution thereof by said Sir George Ralph Fetherston are respectively witnessed by John McCausland, of Upper Merrion Street in the City of Dublin Esquire, Attorney at Law, and by Richard Holton of Upper Rutland Street in the County of Dublin, Gentleman, G.R. Fetherston seal

The within named John McCausland of Upper Merrion Street in the City of Dublin, maketh oath and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the deed of which the within writing is a memorial and also to the within Memoral saith he saw said deed and Memorial respectively duly executed by the Sir George Ralph Fetherston and saith he delivered said deed and memorial respectively to Henry S. Kildare Esquire, Assistant Register in the Registry Office situate at the Kings Inns in Henrietta Street in the City of Dublin on Saturday the eighteenth day of March instant at or near the hour of a qurter to three o clock in the afternoon of said Day and saith the name subscribed to said deed and memorial respectively as a witness is this deponents proper name and handwriting - John McCausland.
