I strongly recommend the book Co.
Longford and Its People, which is both an index to the households
of the 1901 Census, AND a map and index guide to the townlands
of Co. Longford. It is almost indispensible for all 19th century
research of Co. Longford. It, and the Index to the 1854 Griffiths
Valuation for Co. Longford can be obtained directly from the
author, David Leahy,
or from other good genealogical bookstores.
Try to limit it to one or two family surnames per query and include
the time
frame you're searching in. You may submit as many as you'd like.
